The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding production facilities overseas, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an opportunity to grow for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, as opposed its ”base” markets in Japan and China.

Origins
The early history of Toto that began in 1917, mirrored Japan's rapid economic expansion. In the beginning, Toto manufactured products to meet the demands for modern, contemporary urban housing. To achieve this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the country to make ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered automation to allow production control, which allows for greater efficiency and a more consistent production.
In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began to expand overseas in order to benefit from sales and new markets. The company established the Cera Trading Company to import and sell other products of other manufacturers in order to expand its line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the firm’s global market share.
By the 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus on research and development of water-related household appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve customers and boost profits. The company also employed the approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management as well as sales program. This led to a higher level of satisfaction of customers.
Toto has been able to continue to innovate in the toilet technology. The most recent toilet features a powerful, environmentally-friendly tornado flush. Toto uses recycled water in its manufacturing process and 토지노 커뮤니티 also has a green purchasing policy. Toto also produces bathtubs, faucets, and hand dryers with greater energy efficiency than conventional models.
The first Toto museum opened in the year 2015. It hosts exhibits on the most iconic products of Toto as well as their evolution, group companies (all of which are made of ceramics), the history of plumbing, and even bath units. In a separate gallery you can view Toto products that are sold throughout. The museum houses a bathroom with a washbasin and other toilet innovations.
Before forming Toto members of the group did session work for various musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
It is common for a group with a name such as Asia to be a prog band however, it's actually a fairly straight forward rock outfit. The band was initially four members and released two albums in 1979, the self-titled debut album and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a diverse musical background, but their greatest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, but it was not without its share of issues. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to release a hit single or else they would pull them. Toto was able to achieve this through the aid of the hit song ”Africa.”
Toto's musical mastery is a result of their previous experience in the music industry, as the band members were session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior to forming the group. Their distinctive sound has since become the standard for '80s pop, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album starts out hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write fantastic AOR tunes that slowly get into your head. The album also includes some jazzier, slower tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. And the album ends with Great Expectations, a song that mixes folk with distorted AOR and sounds completely wrong, but actually is incredibly effective.
After Toto IV, the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band had to go through several drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in aftermath of drug-related charges. However, the band continued as a trio with Michael Porcaro and 토지노 커뮤니티 Steve Lukather.
Toto released Isolation despite the turmoil. It was not as well-liked as IV. However, the band still managed to release another chart-topping album in 1992, Kingdom of Desire. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an ode to the classic sextet format, 안전놀이터 추천 and it was a more consistent, more powerful album with a sharper edge. The more edgy sound of the album was indicative of the maturation of group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency on the drums, as well as an improved, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's work was sharper, more intricate, and less derivative than previously recorded recordings.
After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live concert in Amsterdam which was released as a set of two CDs titled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. A new studio album was released shortly after, and the group went on an extensive world tour in support of the album. During this period keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began looking through old tapes and demos to discover songs that had never been recorded prior to. It was completed in 2001 as a double album called Then and Now. It was the band's first album without one single track titled ”A”. The album also contained an previously unreleased track ”Kari-Anne”.
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial failure, and the vocalist Williams was suffering from a severe laryngitis condition which limited his singing capabilities. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville as a drummer, and Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes along with the other original members of Asia–Wetton, Palmer, and Howe–convened an event in England in the beginning of 2006 to discuss the possibility of formally reforming the band. The lineup, which was minus Howe (who was a member of Yes at the time), eventually became known as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured an appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.(Image: https://to-topia.com/theme/BS4-Basic/storage/image/thumb-title-mainBanner_new_870x214.png)
