The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding production facilities abroad, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for bidet and washlet toilet seats, as opposed its ”base” markets in Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto documented Toto words so that the next generation could read the words. However, many of the words were being replaced by foreign words, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.
Origins
Toto's early history, which began in 1917, mirrored Japan's economic growth. In the beginning of its existence, the company manufactured goods to meet demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. To achieve this, it employed the first tunnel kiln in the nation that produced ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered automation for production control, which allows for greater efficiency and a more consistent production.
The company began expanding overseas in the latter part of the 1980s to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and market other products of other manufacturers to complement its own range of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped increase sales and increased the company's market share in the world.
In the late 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus to research and development of household appliances that use water. It also improved its distribution system to better serve its customers and improve profit. The company embraced a just-in time approach to supply chain management and applied the same approach in its sales program. This resulted in a higher level of customer satisfaction.

The latest toilet, for instance it has an extremely powerful tornado flush that is more ecologically green than traditional toilets. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its production process and has a green procurement policy. In addition to toilets Toto produces bathtubs and faucets and hand dryers that are more energy efficient than standard models.
The company's first museum opened in 2015 It has exhibits on Toto's seminal products and their development as well as its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) as well as the historical background of plumbing and products such as bath units and, in a different gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum also includes a bathroom with a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.
Before forming Toto the band, members of the group performed sessions for various musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich, guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather, drummer Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also played on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
With a name as evocative as Asia you'd think that the group would be prog kings and queens however, it's actually a fairly straightforward rock group. The band started out as a quartet, and they recorded two albums: 1979's self titled debut, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background but their biggest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a huge blockbuster, however it did not come without its own set of issues. The record companies put Toto under pressure to deliver the top single or they would drop the album. Toto was able to achieve this with the help from the hit song ”Africa.”
Toto's musical mastery is a result of their prior experience, as the band members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their distinctive sound has since become the standard for '80s pop, influencing many contemporary artists.
The album begins with a hefty dose of hard rock with songs like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write amazing AOR songs that slowly build their hooks into your mind. The album also has some more mellow, jazzy tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album ends with Great Expectations. This song mixes folk and the distorted AOR that could seem like a complete blunder, but is very effective.
After Toto IV, the band's fortunes began to wane. David Hungate left the band to focus on his solo career, 토토사이트 모음 - bookmark4You.win - and the band was dominated by drummers. In 1984, 스포츠토토 사이트 (98e.fun) Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in the aftermath of drug-related charges. However, the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite the turmoil, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation however, which was not as successful as IV. The band managed to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album was the last of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Its more punk-rock sound was indicative of the maturation of group and included drummer Bobby Kimball's greater ability on the drums and a more confident, mature vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was as well more refined, more precise and less akin to earlier efforts.
After touring to promote their album, the group recorded an Amsterdam live show that was released by Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. The group released a new studio album a few months after and embarked on a world tour support it. During this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old demos and tapes in search of a new album featuring songs that were never recorded before. It was released as a double-album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band not to feature one single track with the word ”A” in its title and it included one previously unreleased track, ”Kari-Anne”.
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial flop and vocalist Williams was suffering from a serious laryngitis condition which limited his singing capabilities. In addition, Hungate returned to Nashville as a drummer, and Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes and the other original members of Asia - Wetton, Palmer, and Howe–convened a meeting in England in the beginning of 2006 to discuss the possibility of reforming the group. The group, which was missing Howe who was busy with Yes during that time, became Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured an appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
