Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They offer an added benefit or effect when the equipment in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as a reward, or created with crafting materials. Upgrades can have cosmetic effects, in addition to giving bonus attributes.
Upgrade components can include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are not generally accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that has been elevated, or certain non-ascended weaponry from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions and enrichments can be extracted from equipment by using an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged using a Blacklion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Like other upgrade products Phoenix Boxes are able to be traded while still attached to the item they are upgrading, and they can be reused after being reclaimed. These upgrade items can be used to boost the quality of armor and weapon without the expense of Dilithium. They can double the chance that the item will receive a high-quality upgrade.
Upgrade components can be added to an item, however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and upgraded equipment). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or higher. Adding an upgrade to an item that is already equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item in the same way as it appears in the game (for example, adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be named Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player is limited to up to three upgrade items at once.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic addition to any item. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs can also increase the number of affixes that can be placed on an item, increasing the overall power of the item. These glyphs are available through the dungeons and some be found in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to remember that glyphs can't be used on a character who has not been able to create an area of root dungeons of the same size.
In order to use a Glyph first, you need to create it using components and connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align itself to other components or paths in the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph from components, you can build it using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element close to a highlighted component to snap it into place.
Some glyphs require certain conditions to be fulfilled, such as 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated, which can be difficult to attain. Certain glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs are used for a wide variety of items, and are added to any weapon, except for weapons of specific classes. Some of these glyphs have additional requirements, for example a certain amount of Dexterity damage or Attack damage on a specific portion of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of blocking enemy attacks by 5percent. It also has a chance of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs may also be used on limited use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will count towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs, which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts with a flat value. They are especially useful for classes that are ranged, such as Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph makes enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are tokens that are used to roll back one of the results that are rolled when performing an Action. When the reroll occurs, they are thrown away. Reroll tokens are obtained in several ways, including through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the store or purchased from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials, as they allow players to roll rewards from the end of the chest.
For items in the range of 1 there are recycling points. When recycle an item, it will add a specific number of points to the gauge of upgrade. The value varies according to the item's level and rarity. The upgraded item also will not be able to keep its level when rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item increases as its level rises.
Alternatively, a player can make use of reroll tokens to make an upgrade item rerollable, but this will not bring the item upgrader kit back to its original condition or provide the original statistics. This is a great option for those who wish to reroll a piece of equipment they don't love but want to keep in their collection.
There are three kinds of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll, random and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each level requires an item from the respective level to create an item of that level.
To make use of reroll tokens, right-click the Satanic or Angelic item in the inventory and select ”Reroll Token”. Select a type of token. The tokens available are Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. Using an item upgrades token will produce a new Item of any quality. Using a Weapon or Misc token will create a new weapon from the same faction.
There is also the possibility that the item upgrader Kit could be upgraded to a new item that has a higher level and the same additional stats. This could happen when the item is in the Pool that is not droppable or was transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
