World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a way to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type it can raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.

Upgrading gear in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specified amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's stats base increases when it is upgraded. This is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the fact that many perks must be replaced in order for the item to get upgraded.

Item level is a commonly used measure of power, and can be found on all item tooltips. It is also used as a gating requirement when waiting to queue for dungeons and scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is limited to an lower level). Players can see their average level of items on their character sheet.

Using the item level can help players compare the strength of equipment when deciding to purchase or sell. It's a measure of the item's condition and its quality. The level of the item can be used to evaluate items when examining the inventory of a vendor.

On PC, you are able to view the item level by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the complete description of the item, as well as its value. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are a few theories about how the calculation of the item's level is carried out. One theory is that the item level is a numerical value derived from a formula that determines the amount an item's stats are worth. It considers that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in the sockets boost the value of the item. This process can result in a calculated value for the item's ilvl which is usually close to the actual Blizzard level of the item.

Items that drop in higher-level instances will have higher ilvl.

item upgrader kit Stats

The stats of an item can make or break an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in various ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being ”the Best item upgrade.” The stat mods of an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's skill.

Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines its upgrade cost. An item that is white or grey for instance, will only be upgraded one time however, items with rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times at more expensive costs.

They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could do things like give the item extra damage, or give a specific ability to the item (such as reviving dead or decreasing the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding a special name to the item.

Currently, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button, which is accompanied by circles arrows. This will cost a specific amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, as with other rerolling methods.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which of the available stats to be kept on an item when it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges of an item are based on the level of the item, however all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within the range, unless it's an item that is unique or a God roll from a boss of a raid.

This is another aspect that could be changed by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes or choosing which stats to enhance. Similar to the base equipment, it would have to be done per item, and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the likelihood of locating items as well as the properties generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game and is thus more valuable in the early game than in later ones, because most players value more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also increase the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chances that increase with each new level of item. These can also be increased by using anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields, and weapons have an initial Luck value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to add another 40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.

Furthermore some items, such as the Hollow infused weapon can be outfitted to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items are available at the store or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items can be a costly process and not every upgrade will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chances of success for an upgrade item, or to protect players from losing their item in the event that it is not successful.

The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of successfully upgrading that item and can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The probability of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The luck of an item may affect the success of an upgrade. All items have an initial success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases that chance by an additional 5percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be masked by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
