Driving License Category A2
The A2 category of driving license permits the use of motorcycles without sidecars, with the maximum engine output of 35 kW. The power/weight ratio of the vehicle cannot exceed 0.2kW/kg.
This driving license was created to permit you to get your motorcycle driving licence early and then progress to the A2 licence with more engine power.
Motorcycles and scooters
Driving license category A2 is the second stage of motorcycle driving licence. This permits you to operate mopeds and small motorcycles up to 50cc. This class permits you to gradually increase the engine power of your vehicle, and also to imagine larger engines. The test is more complex and requires more knowledge.
The category A2 driving licence is valid until the age of 24. It can be used in conjunction with the category A1 car driving licence or as of a provisional driver's licence. Motor vehicles with 4 wheels

Motor vehicles with trailers
The category A2 includes motorized vehicles that have trailers. These are not vehicles pulled by the driver, but are pulled behind larger vehicles like cars. This category includes, for example a tractor towing trailers, or small trucks designed to carry loads, such as those used by plumbers and painters to transport equipment and other supplies to their work sites. The maximum mass that can be authorized (MAM) for this class is 8,250kg.
To drive a vehicle in this class you must have passed the theory test for category A1 or obtained a driving license by direct entry. You may also need to pass a driving test based on the type vehicle you plan to drive.
The license you receive for Category A2 is valid for a period of three years, starting on the day you successfully pass your theory exam. To keep it valid, you must renew prior to the expiration date.
In addition to the categories mentioned above, you can also be granted a driving license for other vehicles that meet certain requirements. You require a specific licence to drive a big vehicle (category C) and you have to be aware of the specific rules for the transportation of hazardous products.
