Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was a return to a traditional sextet style, and a more consistent, stronger album with a sharper edge. The more edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the maturation in the group. Drummer Bobby Kimball's increased ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard work was also sharper, more complex, and less derivative on earlier efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the group recorded the band's Amsterdam live show that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between.
