WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade item their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.
The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are functional items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be bought by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item upgrade's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the item upgrading slot and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was altered a bit, with several new features added. After a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items are from a different set of equipment.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a few options. Flightstones are an Item level Upgrade that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be spent on gear of a specific rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the type or equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through content at the appropriate level. This could be by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the Best item upgrade like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.
Using these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable modification is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.(Image: https://cases.gg/_next/image?url=https2F2Fstandard3A2Fimg.clash.gg2F189565c96107eddc66ddee2bd560b528.png&w=256&q=75)
